Real Madrid draw at Manchester United 1-1 (1-1) in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. It was an epic match in which, the Spaniards had the advantage from the first to the last minute, However, on 20.minutes Wayne Rooney sent the ball to Danny Welbeck, who silenced the Spanish crowd with the opening goal for United.  On 30 minutes Mesut Oezi passed to Cristiano Ronaldo, who set the result to 1-1, watch the highlights on video

The article goes on to describe the former Evertonian as “a barrell packed with gunpowder”, and “a football player and hooligan rolled into one”. The article written by Hugo Cerezo read: “Wayne Rooney is a football player and hooligan all rolled into one. To look at him, you’d think he was one of the 4,000 British fans on the terraces … yelling and drinking beer and jumping the queue to get in through Gate D.

Rooney was featured on the front page of the Madrid-based newspaper under the headline “El Coco”, which means ‘bogey man’.
 The article will only raise the temperature ahead of a game described by Jose Mourinho as the one “the world is waiting for”..
